Dear Mr. President,
The public association of the Republic of Azerbaijan of people with disabilities, veterans and families of the Karabakh war was established on the personal initiative of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev to protect the rights of the most vulnerable category of the population. The Gazakh District branch of the association also protects the interests and rights of the disabled, veterans, and families of the Karabakh war, assists them in addressing their social and public problems, prevents unwanted incidents when they fall under the influence of certain forces that call themselves the opposition.
Mr. President! We, the residents of Gazakh District who have lost our health in the struggle for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and statehood, were very delighted by the news of the pardon of Ramil Safarov who has been extradited to the homeland.
The return of Ramil Safarov to Azerbaijan, your order to pardon him and award him the rank of major represents a triumph of the far-sighted policy of Heydar Aliyev and the result of your efforts and work in the international arena. Your step proves to our enemies and certain forces supporting them the power of the Azerbaijani state.
We, the veterans, have always supported and will continue to support your far-sighted policy. We believe that our lands currently under occupation will soon be freed and Azerbaijan will become even stronger. On behalf of the many members of the Gazakh District branch of the public association of the Republic of Azerbaijan of people with disabilities, veterans and families of the Karabakh war and myself personally I wish you a long life, good health and success in the name of a happy future for Azerbaijan.
Sincerely,
Kh. Balayev,
Gazakh District, the Republic of Azerbaijan
