Ilham Aliyev received Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization

President Ilham Aliyev has received Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Taleb Rifai.
The President noted that a lot is being done in the capital and regions of the country to develop the tourism infrastructure. President Aliyev expressed his confidence that the visit by Taleb Rifai to Azerbaijan would contribute to a further development of cooperation between the World Tourism Organization and relevant agencies of the country.
Noting with satisfaction that this was his third visit to Azerbaijan, Secretary-General Taleb Rifai said that he witnessed major development in the country on every visit. He stressed that the work carried out in Azerbaijan to develop the tourism infrastructure was satisfactory. Taleb Rifai presented the head of state with the “Golden Book” of statements by presidents and heads of state, which also contains excerpts from the speeches of President Ilham Aliyev.
The book indicates that Azerbaijan is one of first 26 countries to have joined the “Golden Book” movement of the World Tourism Organization. It says further that the country has all the conditions for the development of tourism and focuses on President Ilham Aliyev’s attention to the field.
