President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the minister of internal affairs of Lithuania, Arturas Melianas.

Expressing his satisfaction with the visit to Azerbaijan, Arturas Melianas noted its importance for the discussions on broadening the cooperation between relevant agencies of the two countries. He stressed the importance of the agreement to be signed as part of his visit between his ministry and the ministries of internal affairs and of emergency situations of Azerbaijan.

The President said that the cooperation between the two countries in various fields has good prospects. President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of coordination and mutual assistance in natural disasters. Noting that the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan has a strong material base, modern hardware and infrastructure, the President stressed the importance of the exchange of experience in this field.
