President Ilham Aliyev received the letters of credence of Igor Bodiu, a newly nominated Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Azerbaijan
Ambassador Igor Bodiu passed in front of the guard of honor.
Igor Bodiu presented the letters of credence to the President Ilham Aliyev.
Afterwards, the President of Azerbaijan gave the audience to the Ambassador.
Head of state congratulated the Ambassador on his nomination and wished successes in his diplomatic activities. President Ilham Aliyev expressed his hope that the relations between our countries will continue to develop successfully also during the period of diplomatic activities of Igor Bodiu in Azerbaijan. Stressing wider possibilities for further development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova, head of state said that important work has been carried out in this field during past years and expressed his confidence in further development of this positive trend.
Ambassador Igor Bodiu transmitted the regards of the leadership of the Republic of Moldova to the President of Azerbaijan and said that he will spare no efforts in further broadening of relations between Moldova and Azerbaijan which has been always the friendly country for Moldova.
Head of state stressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Republic of Moldova for their regards and asked the Ambassador to pass his greetings to the Moldovan authorities.
