President Ilham Aliyev has attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a Youth Center to be built in the Heydar Aliyev memorial park in Lankaran.
The President was informed that the total area of the Youth Center being established is one hectare, while the area under construction is 850 square meters. Extensive landscaping will be carried out here. The two-storey building will have all the conditions for an effective youth leisure. There will be a café, a disco, a shooting gallery and a cinema on the first floor of the building. There will also be offices at the center. The second floor will have computer and reading rooms and art studios. The center will operate a conference room for various activities.
It was noted that the government is doing specific work to identify the intellectual and creative potential in young, direct it to the solution of national issues and enhance the role of young people living in the countryside. The Lankaran Youth Center and similar facilities elsewhere in Azerbaijan will serve this good cause.
President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation of the Youth Center.
The President gave instructions and recommendations regarding the future work.
The President was also informed about a new residential estate built in Lankaran. It was reported that the estate consists of 14 seven-storey buildings and a total of 133 apartments. Five of them are one-room, five are two-room, 49 are three-room, 29 are four-room and 45 are five-room. An area of 2.39 hectares has been allocated for the estate which has a total living area of 20,941 square meters.
