President Ilham Aliyev checked out the new production shops created in “Gilan” canning plant of Gabala.
The President was informed that the plant, with a general area of 12 hectares, is unprecedented in the Caucasus for its production capacity and technological sophistication. “Tetra Pak” line was employed and imported equipments were installed in the plant. The work principle of the facility covers every stage, ranging from receipt of raw material up to canning of the manufactured product. The plant, opened in March of 2007 with participation of President Ilham Aliyev, produces approximately 100 various types of canned products. Among the products are “Jale”, “Bagdan”, “Aycan”, “Zolotoy sad” natural fruit juices, “Ice tea – Jale” of various tastes, as well as canned fruits.
The President viewed the product samples of the facility.
It was noted that the plant is capable of processing 700 thousand tons of fruits and producing 210 thousand tons of fruit juices. In order to store the product with its initial quality, a storage facility, unprecedented in Azerbaijan and in the region, had been built. The storage, where special temperature and hygiene are maintained, ensures fresh preservation of products. The products of Gabala canning plant are exported to over 30 countries.
President Ilham Aliyev watched the production process, fruit receipt section, and filling of glass bottles with products.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev viewed the model reflecting the reconstruction and expansion works carried out in the plant.
