Ilham Aliyev received the State Minister of Turkey for Foreign Trade

President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by State Minister of Turkey for Foreign Trade, Zafer Caglayan.
The President expressed confidence in success of the Turkish Minister’s visit to Azerbaijan. Noting that economic relations between the two states were on a fine level, President Ilham Aliyev also emphasized the existence of potential for further expansion of these ties. Touching upon the visit of the minister with accompanying Turkish businessmen, the President stressed the importance of such visit for development of relations and establishment of business cooperation with local businessmen.
State Minister of Turkey for Foreign Trade, Zafer Caglayan, in turn, conveyed greetings of Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the President.
The Minister praised the fact that the development processes initiated by national leader Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan had been successfully carried out. Recalling his visit to Azerbaijan in the previous year, Zafer Caglayan noted that he witnessed construction of new attractive buildings, broad highways, and growth in Baku, that had been unprecedented around the world, during this period. Stressing that despite the world financial crisis of 2009, Azerbaijani economy had grown 9 percent, the guest said he was proud of the growth in Azerbaijan and congratulated the President for the achievements attained.
Having expressed his gratitude to the guest for pleasant appraisal, the President said that Azerbaijan’s success could be counted as Turkish and vice-versa. President Ilham Aliyev also expressed confidence that fraternal relations between the countries would continue to develop.
The President expressed his gratitude for greetings of Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and asked to convey his greetings to the President and Prime Minister as well.
