President Ilham Aliyev has received the Foreign Minister of the Principality of Andorra, Gilbert Saboya Sunyé.

Foreign Minister Gilbert Saboya Sunyé said it was an honor for him to pay the first official visit to Azerbaijan on behalf of the government of Andorra. He said that the visit was a good opportunity to get to know Azerbaijan and promote Andorra in our country. Stressing that both peoples have an ancient history, Gilbert Saboya Sunyé noted that Azerbaijan had good prospects for development.

President Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of such visits for the two countries to get to know each other. The President expressed hope that the visit would focus on possible linkages between the two countries in political, economic and other spheres.
