On behalf of the people of Slovenia and on my own, I would like to congratulate you on the national holiday of Azerbaijan – the Republic Day – and wish your country progress and prosperity.

I take this opportunity to highlight the dynamic development of the relations between Slovenia and Azerbaijan. Your visit to Slovenia last year gave a strong impetus to the development of the relations of friendship and partnership between our countries.
