President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Turkish National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz.
President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the Turkish Minister of National Defense, Ismet Yilmaz, on his new appointment and wished him success in his activities. Stressing that Turkish presidents and prime ministers pay their first official visits to the brotherly country, the head of state expressed satisfaction with the continuation of this tradition at the ministerial level. President Aliyev said the relations between the two countries are developing successfully in all areas, particularly in the area of defense. The President stressed that the visit of Turkish National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz to Azerbaijan would further strengthen the relations between relevant agencies of the two countries.
Turkish National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz passed greetings on behalf of President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on to the President and the people of Azerbaijan. Ismet Yilmaz expressed his satisfaction with the fact that he is paying his first official visit after the appointment as minister to fraternal Azerbaijan. Referring to the adage of great leader Heydar Aliyev “One nation, two states”, the Turkish minister said it has already been recognized throughout the world.
The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings from President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and asked the minister to convey his greetings to the President and the Prime Minister of the brotherly country.
