President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the governor of Russia’s Astrakhan Region, Aleksandr Zhilkin.
Recalling Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s successful visit to Astrakhan Region last year, Governor Aleksandr Zhilkin also pointed to the importance of the issues discussed during this visit. Aleksandr Zhilkin said the park in Astrakhan in which a statue of the nationwide leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, has been put up is a popular place for city residents.
The sides pointed to the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia’s Astrakhan Region in the economic, humanitarian, social, tourism and transport spheres, expressed satisfaction with the growing trade and voiced confidence that this cooperation would continue to expand in the future.
