Ilham Aliyev familiarized with the course of reconstruction work carried out in secondary schools number 225 and 35 in Yasamal and Nasimi regions

President Ilham Aliyev got familiarized with the course of refurbishment and reconstruction work carried out in secondary schools number 225 and 35 located in the territory of Yasamal and Nasimi regions of Baku.
In accordance with the action plan related to the overall refurbishment and reconstruction of secondary schools envisaged in the current year in the State Program for the social and economic development of Baku city and its suburbs for the years of 2011-2013, overall refurbishment work has started in 111 educational institutions situated in the capital. Out of this number, 54 institutions are secondary schools, and 57 are kindergartens. Besides the overall refurbishment and reconstruction work, the State Program envisages also the construction of additional classrooms, new educational buildings, sport and conference halls and canteens for the existing schools which need such facilities and the supply of necessary equipment.
First of all, President Ilham Aliyev studied the course of overall refurbishment and reconstruction work carried out in secondary school number 225 of Yasamal region of Baku. The head of state was briefed about the work carried out so far. It was reported that the building of this school which has 38 classrooms for 729 schoolchildren was commissioned in 1964. Being of one of exemplary educational institutions of the capital, the school number 225 deserved the title of the best school of year for the educational years of 2009-2010. This school building composed of four floors is being reconstructed fully in the framework of the State Program.
Having familiarized with the work done, the head of state came to the secondary school number 35 located in the territory of Nasimi region of the capital city to study refurbishment and reconstruction work here. President Ilham Aliyev was informed about refurbishment work. It was reported that the school building for 450 schoolchildren was commissioned in 1930. Lessons are given in this school on a two fold shift basis, and 700 schoolchildren get education here. In the framework of the program implemented to refurbish fully and reconstruct schools, the old building of the school number 35 will be reconstructed fully. At the same time, a new building of three floors consisted of 20 classrooms and sport hall will be constructed here.
Having studied closely the work done, the head of state gave relevant instructions.
