President Ilham Aliyev has visited an area in the Narimanov district of Baku where the Dada Gorgud Park has been established.
It was indicated that in April 2000 nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev signed the Order “On establishing the Dada Gorgud monument and the world of Dada Gorgud historical and ethnographical complex” on an area of 7.5 hectares. Consistent measures are being taken in Baku towards reconstruction and landscaping of parks and avenues in line with President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions. In accordance with the Order “On monumental architectural sites, memorials and architectural complexes in the Republic of Azerbaijan” dated 2 April 2007, the Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to take relevant measures to ensure the execution of the said Order.
President Ilham Aliyev reviewed the condition of the territory. In accordance with the President’s instructions, major overhaul will be carried out here and excellent conditions created for the recreation of capital city residents.
President Ilham Aliyev said it was necessary to carry out work in the park at a high level and issued instructions concerning the execution of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev’s order on the erection of a monument to Dada Gorgud here.
