Ilham Aliyev received Iranian minister of information and communications technology

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Minister of Information and Communications Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi.
They hailed the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iran in various areas, including in the field of communications and information technologies.
President Ilham Aliyev noted that the 23rd Bakutel-2017 exhibition has been held for more than 20 years, and praised Iranian companies` constant participation and representation at this exhibition at ministerial level. Recalling his recent visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the head of state underlined that his meetings with Iran`s supreme leader and president made a great contribution to the development of the bilateral ties. President Ilham Aliyev said there are good opportunities for expanding cooperation in the field of communications and information technologies, and expressed his confidence that fruitful discussions on cooperation prospects will be carried out during the visit of Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi.
Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi extended greetings of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani to the head of state. He also conveyed the Iranian president`s gratitude for condolences of Azerbaijan`s president over the earthquake in Kermanshah and Azerbaijani people`s solidarity with the people of Iran. The minister stressed that the two countries enjoy successful cooperation in the political, economic and other areas, and expressed hope that these ties will continue to strengthen.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked for the greetings of President Hassan Rouhani and asked the minister to extend his greetings to the Iranian head of state.
