President Ilham Aliyev received Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Olympic Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Zhukov.

Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Olympic Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Zhukov, delivered greetings of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to the President.

The successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation in various fields, particularly in economic field, was noted. The sides expressed confidence in further strengthening of relations. The existing high-level cooperation between the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan and the Russian Olympic Committee in international Olympic movement was also mentioned at the meeting.

President expressed gratitude for the greetings of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and requested his greetings to be delivered to the President and Prime Minister in return.
