Ilham Aliyev received delegation led by South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.
Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa Maite Nkoana-Mashabane said: “We extend to you greetings of your friend, President of the Republic of South Africa Jacob Zuma.”
Maite Nkoana-Mashabane said her country is interested in expanding relations with Azerbaijan, adding there is great potential for this. The minister said she will hold discussions on the development of cooperation between the two countries during the visit. Maite Nkoana-Mashabane noted that people in South Africa have a positive attitude towards Azerbaijan. She also hailed the fact that several South Africans study in the field of high technologies in Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev said the Republic of Azerbaijan is interested in developing cooperation with the Republic of South Africa.
The head of state stressed the importance of the visit of the South African minister in terms of defining priority areas of cooperation between the two countries.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked for the greetings of President Jacob Zuma and asked the minister to communicate his greetings to the President of the Republic of South Africa.
The also exchanged views over a range of issues of mutual interest.
