Ilham Aliyev received credentials of incoming Uruguayan Ambassador

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received the credentials of newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uruguay Enrique Delgado Genta.
Ambassador Enrique Delgado Genta reviewed a guard of honor.
Enrique Delgado Genta presented his credentials to President Ilham Aliyev.
President Ilham Aliyev then had a conversation with the ambassador.
The head of state said there have been positive improvements in terms of the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Uruguay recently. President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of active participation of the Uruguayan delegation in Baku International Humanitarian Forum. The head of state recalled his meeting with the Uruguayan delegation. President Ilham Aliyev said the Uruguayan delegation traditionally attended the Forum and noted that this created good opportunities for the development of bilateral relations.
The head of state said there has been good dynamic in the development of Azerbaijani-Uruguayan relations recently. President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the importance of ambassador`s role in strengthening bilateral ties.
Ambassador Enrique Delgado Genta conveyed greetings of President of the Republic of Uruguay Tabare Vázquez to the head of state. The diplomat said his country`s President attaches great importance to the development of relations with Azerbaijan, which are relatively new.
The head of state thanked for the greetings of President Tabare Vázquez, and asked the ambassador to extend his greetings to the Uruguayan leader.
