President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received former President of the Republic of Croatia Stjepan Mesic.

The importance of the Global Baku Forum organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center was emphasized.

The sides said the fact that the agenda of the forum covered a variety of fields, including energy, security, fight against terrorism, refugees and interreligious cooperation, created a good opportunity for discussing topical issues.

The sides stressed that the event had already turned into an important international forum.
