President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, James Steinberg.
First, President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, James Steinberg, held a private meeting. Then, the meeting proceeded in an expanded format.
James Steinberg conveyed the greetings of U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, to the President.
Various aspects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and US, energy cooperation, regulation of the Armenian-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and regional issues were discussed at the meeting.
The President expressed his gratitude for the greetings of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and asked to deliver his greetings to the Secretary in return.
