Azerbaijani taekwondo fighter Aykhan Taghizade reached the final of the Baku 2015 First European Games in the men`s 68kg weight category.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife, chairperson of the Baku 2015 First European Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva watched the young taekwondo fighter make it to the gold-medal bout.

On his way to the gold medal Taghizade defeated Jure Pantar of Slovenia, Gonzalez Bonilla of Spain, and Alexey Denisenko of Russia.
