President Ilham Aliyev took part in the opening of 500-kVt “Samukh” auxiliary station in Samukh region.
Chairman of “Azerenerji” OSC, Etibar Pirverdiyev, reported to the President that the construction processes in the 30-hectares area, allotted in the village of Lek, had started in July of 2008 and completed in the end of 2010.
Being the second biggest station in the country, the “Samukh” auxiliary station will provide the steel mill and aluminum refinery of the Ganja city with electric power. 330/110/10 kVt and 110/35 kVt auxiliary stations have been built in the Ganja aluminum refinery and 26 km-long 500 kVt and 64 km-long 330-kVt power lines have been set for transmission of power.
Opening of approximately 100 working places is planned in “Samukh” auxiliary station.
President Ilham Aliyev toured the office building of the auxiliary station. National leader Heydar Aliyev’s works for development of the power system in Azerbaijan are reflected in the photo stand, created in the building.
The President started the work of the station from the control room and wished success to the builders and power engineering specialists.
