President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation headed by Nurlan Nigmatulin, the Chairman of the Majlis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The President stressed that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan were developing dynamically. President Ilham Aliyev recalled with satisfaction his recent meeting in Sochi with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

President Aliyev noted that political relations between the two countries were at a high level and he emphasized the importance of inter-parliamentary ties for strengthening cooperation further. President Ilham Aliyev stressed the active cooperation between our countries both bilaterally and within the framework of international organizations and said he hoped that the visit by the Chairman of the Majlis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Nigmatulin, would serve to broaden relations further.

The Chairman of the Majlis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Nigmatulin, conveyed greetings from President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the head of the Azerbaijani state. He noted that prior to his visit to Azerbaijan, he had been received by the President of Kazakhstan in person and President Nazarbayev had asked him to convey to President Ilham Aliyev his sincerest wishes for good health, peace and prosperity for the Azerbaijani people. The Parliament Majlis Chairman Nurlan Nigmatulin emphasized the role of the friendly relations and mutual respect between Geydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in developing ties between the two countries. He noted the importance of the sincere friendly relations between the heads of our states in broadening these links at present. Nurlan Nigmatulin presented to the President of Azerbaijan a letter from President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on broadening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in various fields.

President Ilham Aliyev thanked the Chairman of the Majlis of the Parliament for the greetings from President Nursultan Nazarbayev and asked Nurlan Nigmatulin to convey his greetings to the head of the Kazakh state.
