President Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the President of the General Investment Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and co-chair of the Saudi Arabia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Joint Commission, Abdullatif bin Ahmed Al Othman.

Mr Abdullatif bin Ahmed Al Othman conveyed to President Ilham Aliyev greetings from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King of Saudi Arabia His Majesty Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence His Highness Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He congratulated our head of state on his re-election as President. Abdullatif bin Ahmed Al Othman said that he witnessed great development processes in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev. Noting that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King of Saudi Arabia His Majesty Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is interested in the further strengthening of bilateral relations between our countries, the guest emphasized that there are good opportunities for the expansion of these relations.

The head of state noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia are developing successfully in various fields. Praising cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one of the main partners of Azerbaijan, and our country, President Ilham Aliyev said that this cooperation has great potential and expressed confidence that important progress will be made in this field.
