Dear Mr President,

I am very pleased to congratulate you on your re-election as President of the Azerbaijan Republic. Your convincing victory in the elections is a new stage in the development of democracy in Azerbaijan and an indicator of your strong leadership.

The USA and Azerbaijan maintain a dynamic partnership based on common interests and goals. We have made joint efforts in the war on terror and development of tolerance. The USA highly values Azerbaijan’s role in the development of regional peace and security. As an American, I am grateful to your country for its contribution to the peacekeeping operations conducted by the USA in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kosovo.

Recently, I had the honour to visit Azerbaijan and experience high hospitality and friendliness. I am very pleased that I visited the sights of Azerbaijan and familiarized myself with the ancient cultural heritage of your country.
